UPPER BLACKWOOD AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY (Inc.)
RURAL AMBASSADOR Nerilee Boshammer Nerilee has been a resident of Boyup Brook for several years, and for most of that time has been employed by the Blackwood Basin Group as a Project Coordinator. She was a prime mover behind the Boyup Billabong Project, has managed other Landcare projects, and is very experienced in research, interviews and submission preparation. She has been on the Telecentre Management Committee for several years, and is its current Chairperson. An outdoor girl at heart, “Nez”, as she is usually known, plays netball and basketball, is a team member of the Boyup Brook Women’s football team, which plays an annual fixture against Pemberton as a fund-raiser for breast cancer, and is a keen and talented gardener. Other interests, however, extend to music, playing guitar, painting and mosaics. Nez is enthusiastic about the Rural Ambassador Program and sees it as an important way of contributing to the community, of gaining recognition for the importance of rural communities, and of gaining acknowledgment of the increasingly valuable contributions young people make in their local communities. Please make yourselves know to Nez when she attends the Show and assists with the trophy presentations. We sincerely thank her for her contribution. |
